Bayelsa 2012: Drama, as Jonathan dumps Dickson for Alaibe

The battle for the Peoples’ Democratic Party, [PDP] governorship ticket in Bayelsa State took a dramatic turn yesterday, as the Presidency suddenly withdrew support for a federal lawmaker, Henry Seriake-Dickson as its anointed candidate. Daily Sun investigation revealed that

Dickson has been advised to forget about the party’s governorship ticket and give support to former managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Chief Timi Alaibe.

Speculation is, however, rife that Governor Sylva is considering moving to the ACN to pick the party’s governorship ticket. Commissioner for Information, Bayelsa State, Honourable Nath Egba, however, dispelled the speculation that Governor Sylva would dump PDP for ACN.
