The Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs has taken steps to settle the controversy that has arisen in Delta State following the discovery of an oil well in Burutu and Bomadi communities in the state.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, took the step when he invited the 26 traditional rulers of the villages that make up Burutu and Bomadi communities and the officials of Nigerian Agip Oil Company, on Tuesday, in Abuja.

While addressing the gathering, Elder Orubebe frowned on the attitude of the host communities towards Agip and called for dialogue to settle the controversy between them.
