Yenagoa — GOVERNOR Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State and the Presidential Adviser on Niger Delta Matters, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, have warned ex-militants against further agitation for the extension of the amnesty programme of the Federal Government.

The duo who spoke against the backdrop of rising protests for amnesty extension by the ex-militants region cautioned that government would be compelled to arrest anybody or groups that protest in the streets on the matter.

Sylva who stated this in Government House Yenagoa, while receiving members of the Amnesty Committee led by Kuku, said he was irked that his state was used as a base to stage the last protest that halted movement at the
East-West Road
.

"We were kind to the ex-militants in their last protest, but next time we are not going to be kind to them anymore. They are criminals and we are going to treat them as criminals", he said.
