Security In N/Delta: Army Promises Peace

Maj.-Gen. Sunday Idoko, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Enugu, has promised that the army will ensure peace and security in the Niger Delta region.

Idoko made the promise in Port Harcourt recently at the closing ceremony of the division’s officers and senior non-commissioned officers study period at the 2 Brigade officers Mess, Port Harcourt.

Munir said the military had been in dilemma in joint security operations “because military training is different from police training. There is the need to understand each other.”
