Nigeria: Boko Haram Not Willing To Talk With Government

Nigerian Ambassador Usman Gaji Galtimari’s recommendations regarding the security in northeast Nigeria did not address the Nigerian Islamic militant group Boko Haram’s demand to establish a sharia state in the country, a Boko Haram spokesman said Sept. 29, Nigerian newspaper Daily Trust reported. The spokesman denied reports that there were factions within the sect willing to start talks with the government, and said they did not recommend setting up any committee for that purpose.
