DEFENCE Minister, Mohammed Dahiru Bello, yesterday said the Federal Government was poised to transform the Nigerian military into a strong, modern and pro-active force that would continue to preserve the country’s peace and territorial integrity.
Bello said while at the commissioning of new office block building, a cenotaph and 15 crash ambulances at the headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) that the military plays a major role in the country’s transformation “that gives cognisance to the continuity, consistency and commitment to agreed policies. All these cannot be achieved in a state of anomie”.
