IN a unanimous judgment, the
Appeal Court
in Calabar has dismissed the appeal instituted by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and its Governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Senator James Udoedeghe against the election of  Governor Godswill Akpabio.

In a lead judgment read by Justice Massoud Abdulraham Oredola , the court dismissed all the grounds of appeal by the appellant, stating that the issue that the judgment of the tribunal was not signed was not tenable because “duly signed copy was forwarded to this court and the authenticity of the ruling was not in doubt. We called and saw that it was duly signed and we therefore accepted it as valid.”
