Activist Blames Niger Delta Woes On NDDC's Boss
WARRI – A Niger Delta     activist,  Mr. Frank Akiefa, has said that the Niger Delta region suffered its worse underdevelopment from Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC,  an interventionist agency in the long neglected region under the current Managing Director, Mr Chibuzor Ugwoha.

Akiefa, who spoke in Warri, Delta State, said the Ugwoha-led management of the commission, had taken the region backward because of his failure to effectively manage available resources and manpower towards the development of the Niger Delta, which was the major task of NDDC.

He noted that the NDDC boss had failed to pursue policies, programmes and projects that would impact positively on the lives of the people, rather he engaged in the award of frivolous contracts without due process and budgetary provision to the detriment of the region, which eventually led to the presidential probe.

Akiefa observed that with Ugwoha still in office, no meaningfully development can take place as he was working contrary to President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda.
