Warri — THE Itsekiri Development Congress, IDC, yesterday, called on the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe to resign his appointment over the statement credited to him in a national daily.
Orubebe was quoted as calling on President Goodluck Jonathan to transfer supervisory role of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, from the Office of the Secretary to the Federal Government, to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.
In statement by Mr. Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh and Mr. Solomon Iwetan, Chairman and Secretary, respectively, IDC said: "All the development projects we have in the Niger Delta were executed by NDDC and the interventionist agency has a master-plan for the development of the region.
