Twelve Suspected Cultists Nabbed in Bayelsa

Yenagoa — The Police in Bayelsa State yesterday paraded 12 persons suspected to be cultists at the command's headquarters in Yenagoa.

Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Aliyu Musa, said the suspects who are all secondary school students were caught during the process of initiating new members.

The suspects were apprehended with dangerous weapons by the men of the special task force Operation Famou Tangbe at a secondary school premises in the state capital.

While parading the suspects, the commissioner told newsmen that the suspected cultists were nabbed following intelligent information made available to the police by the public.

He warned parents and ward to ensure that the monitor the activities of their children to avoid them associating with bad gangs.
