•Senate confirms 10 more ministers
runs deficit budget for 10yrs -Aganga Nigeria
Senate on Wednesday confirmed 10 more ministerial nominees, bringing the total ministers to 35. Last week, Senate confirmed 14 ministers who were sworn in at the weekend by President Goodluck Jonathan.
At the end of a ministerial screening which lasted more than six hours on Wednesday, Senate brushed aside opposition to the nomination of former Finance Minister Olusegun Aganga and Barth Nnaji, former Presidential Adviser on Energy.
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was also confirmed as a minister alongside Dr. Bello Mohammed (Kebbi), Prof. Ita Okon Bassey Ewa (Akwa Ibom), Comrade Abba Moro (Benue) Dr. Samuel Ioraer Ortom (
Benue), Senator Idris Umar (Gombe), Prof. (Mrs.) Viola Onwuliri (Imo), and Erelu Olusola Obada (Osun)
There was no single voice of dissent to their confirmation.
