Niger Delta Youths to Benefit More From Oil Resources, Says Presidency

Daily Independent
5 July 2011

Calabar — Niger Delta youths have again been assured by the Presidency that as people, who come from the area where the nation derives its huge oil revenues from, they would be given the material benefits and infrastructure they deserve from the Nigerian state.

Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Kingsley Kuku, said this in Obubra camp, Cross River State, while addressing the Batch 14 of the former Niger Delta militants, who had completed their reorientation training on non-violence.

Kuku, whose office coordinates the Federal Government Amnesty Programme for the former Niger Delta militants, said all they required was patience as they would be assigned to train in vocations and disciplines they would love to engage in as their future means of sustenance.
