THE Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), the Ijaw National Congress (INC),a socio-cultural organisation of the Ijaw people and some other civil society groups in the Niger Delta, Nigeria's main oil and gas region, are currently spoiling for a re-defined struggle against the ills of the oil industry in the region.

They have floated a fresh central organisation called National Coalition on Gas Flaring and Oil Spills in the Niger Delta (NACGOND).

AkanimoReports gathered exclusively in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on Satirday that following a multi-stakeholder meeting involving Niger Delta nationality groups, civil society actors, state actors and the oil industry, facilitated by Chatham House of the United Kingdom (UK),to initiate a dialogue process on the issue, the Niger Delta participants agreed on a follow-up engagement to the London process.
