THE steady implementation of the amnesty programme by the Federal Government has promoted investment and created conducive business climate in the Niger Delta, the Bayelsa State governor, Chief Timipre Sylva, has said.

The governor noted that since the kick-off of the presidential amnesty pro-gramme, effective security, which is germane to the socio-economic growth of any environment, had been restored in the South-South, thereby facilitating a business-friendly atmosphere in the region.

In a press release signed by the Senior Special Adviser to the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor (Media), Mr Preye Wariowei, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune, in Yenagoa, on Sunday, Chief Sylva said “right now, there is no excuse on security matters in Bayelsa State and this has given investors greater level of confidence in doing business, not only in this state, but also in the entire Niger Delta zone.”
