‘NDDC committed to capacity building’

BENIN CITY - The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) , Mr. Chibuzor Ugwoha has reiterated the commitment of the commission to capacity building and creating conducive environment for the education of the young people of the region.

Mr. Ugwoha stated this yesterday in Benin City while declaring open the second phase of a capacity building workshop for secondary school core subject and ICT teachers in the Niger Delta region organised by the commission.

The workshop has as its theme “knowledge and pedagogical approaches in ICT and core subject teachers for secondary school.”

The NDDC helms man who was represented by Dr. Solomon Ita, a deputy director in the commission, described teachers as the most important variable in the school system.

Mr. Ugwoha pointed out that the second phase of the capacity building workshop was a follow up to the first phase organized last year, in which over 1,350 secondary school core subject teachers from the nine states of the Niger Delta were trained.
