Killings in N/Delta: Fear grips ex-militant leaders

Against the backdrop of the killing of an ex-militant leader, identified as Commander Ebi Albert, on the street of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Saturday, fear has gripped some ex-militant leaders in the Niger Delta, as they discreetly apply for police orderlies and gun licence.

Investigations by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that recent killings of ex-militants by unknown gunmen in some cities of the region had instilled fear of attack on them, causing increased requests for armed police orderlies, bullet proof vests and licence to own firearms.
