Kidnappings: Security agents, others brainstorm in Delta

SECURITY agents, traditional rulers, non-governmental organisations as well as community and youths leaders, on Thursday, in Warri, Delta State brainstormed on effective ways of tackling the rampant cases of kidnapping in the Niger Delta region.

The one-day seminar, put together by the Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), had in attendance the Joint Task Force (JTF) Commander, Major-General Johnson Ochoga; who was represented by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Ahmed Magadi; JTF Sector 1 Commander, Colonel Enang Ukagu;the representative of Immigration Service in Delta State, G. Ekwere; his counterpart in Customs Service, C. Onwutube and the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, Mr. Andrew Amos Musa.

Mulade charged security agents to be proactive in tackling insecurity in the land saying that they must be seem as being on top of every security situation.
