As soon as approached the compound, the kidnappers waylaid him close to the school compound and shot into the air to scare people from coming to rescue him.
They finally abducted him and escaped with him in a motor bike and abandoned his car on the road.
The catholic Bishop of Ikot Ekpene Diocese, Rev. Camilus R. Umoh has expressed sadness on the unfortunate incident which according to him is the second in the diocese in the recent past.
