The mother of the National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olusola Oke has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Eighty-year old Chief (Mrs) Mariam Oke was said to have been abducted at about 9pm in Ilaje - Igbokoda, Ondo State on Monday.
It was learnt that the kidnappers have not made any contact with the Oke's family.
When contacted, Chief Oke said: "My mother has been kidnapped and the kidnappers have not communicated with us. We are appealing to them not to harm the poor old woman."
It could be recalled that the son of the National Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje was kidnapped in similar circumstances in Illorin last year but was later released after an undisclosed ransom was allegedly paid.
