United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has commended Nigeria for investing in women's and children's health, as he began a two-day trip to Africa 's most populous country.
Mr. Ban visited a hospital in the capital, Abuja , on Sunday and said the U.N. would support efforts to make communities in Nigeria healthier.
He praised the country for integrating health services for mothers and children with programs for AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and nutrition.
