Repositioning Ex-Niger Delta Militants

“This is a dream come true, I never knew that God would take me to this enviable height. None among my relations had achieved this great feat. My mother is a widow and has been working very hard to raise my sibling and me. God bless Oga Kingsley Kuku for this amnesty programme,” enthused Oyaemefiyalemon Pepes, a youth from the Niger Delta while he was on his way to United States of America (USA) courtesy of the amnesty programme initiated by the Federal Government.

It was indeed a day of joy and celebration as 38 ex-militants who were students of marine specialists, Wyotech-Daytona April class 2011 assembled at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, at a special departure ceremony held in their honour. They were the first set of ex-militants to travel to America.
