Port Harcourt — A HEAD of the May 29 inauguration of the in-coming administration, a group, the Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has called for the arrest and trial of former head of state and presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change in the last election, Muhammedu Buhari.
The group said the call became necessary following the post-election violence that led to the death of ten corps members and destruction of property worth millions of Naira.
National President of the group, Ambassador Donatus Ebisin who stated this in a statement he made available to Daily Champion in Port Harcourt on Wednesday urged the federal government to ensure that the former military leader is arrested before May 29.
"He (Buhari) stands a national security risk for beating war drums and inciting dissidents from the North against the federal government and President Goodluck Jonathan," Ebison said
