The Federal Government has promised to give accelerated attention to all its abandoned projects in Akwa Ibom State and other Niger Delta states to ensure they are executed as specified.

This was the government’s response to the demands of Akwa Ibom, Abia and Cross River states, at the weekend in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, during an enlightenment and sensitisation campaign for peace, security and development in the areas.

The Minister of state for Niger Delta affairs, Samuel Ode said the sensitisation campaign was not to canvass for cooperation from communities hosting government’s projects, but also to listen and look into the citizens’ complaints.
