Inauguration: 15 Presidents Expected As Government Budgets N830m

SAN FRANCISCO, May 23, (THEWILL) – The inauguration ceremony of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo would be witnessed by at least 15 heads of governments, according to the Secretary to the Government of Federation, Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed.

Yayale said of the 40 invites sent out to world leaders by the inauguration committee, 15 of them have so far indicated their intent to attend, noting that more are expected to be present.

While briefing the media as part of activities to begin the week-long inauguration celebration, Yayale stated that contrary to rumours and speculations that the committee had budgeted N5 billion for the event, he said, the committee initially budgeted N1.3 billion but reduced the figure to N830 million adding that whatever happens, the expenditure would not exceed N1 billion.
