Ex-creek warlords in the Niger Delta region Wednesday kicked against calls by some politicians for the Federal Government to probe the Amnesty Committee over alleged cases of mismanagement of the welfare packages for the ex-militants youths involved in the programme.
The ex militant leaders warned those pushing for the probe not to drag the committee into the murky water of politics.
Some faceless persons had , Monday, placed an advertorial in the national dailies purportedly signed by the former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Ebikabowei Victor-Ben known as ‘Gen Boyloaf,’ calling for the probe of the Amnesty Committee.
But in swift reaction, Gen Boyloaf denied the advertorial saying it did not emanate from him.
