Ban Ki Moon in Abuja, Mulls Over Healthcare, Women, Development

Abuja — UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon Sunday arrived Nigeria on his first official visit to the country. The UN scribe who was led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Odein Ajumugobia arrived the Maitama General Hospital, Abuja exactly 4.40pm.

In his address, Ki Moon said health care indexes across the globe mostly on women, children and development were not encouraging, indicating that more battle lies ahead.

According to him, his visit is to access the performance of Nigeria in the areas of maternal, child health care and development, adding that, where the country has shown tremendous improvement like in polio reduction, the message will be preached to the outside world.
