What is NIDSUG all about?
It is a students’ body that champions the interests of Niger Delta Students (NDS). It is a body recognised by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as well as the Niger Delta Ministry. It speaks for the NDS to make sure their welfare is guaranteed. If you look around the country, you will find out that the schools in the south are nothing to be compared with the schools in the north. Sometimes, our political leaders will wait to be compelled before they sit up to their responsibilities. Must our lecturers go on strike before their requests will be met? Must we, the students, go for demonstration before the government will listen to us? These are things we, in NIDSUG, project so that our leaders will know when they are deviating.
