Uncertainty, Absence Of Materials­

AS at 11.30 am yesterday in Delta State, there were no electoral materials in any of the 25 Local Government Councils.  The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr. Gabriel Adah, had earlier in the day announced that elections would not hold in Ethiope, Bomadi/Patani, and Oshimili/Aniocha Federal Constituencies due to “absence of materials for the House of Representatives seat in those three areas.

Adah’s interaction with journalists was sequel to an initial rumour that elections would not hold in Delta. Subsequently, Adah confirmed to newsmen that, indeed, there was shortage of ballot papers for the House of Representatives election; and result sheets for the Senatorial elections.
