Anti-Party - PDP Considers Sanction Against IBB, Atiku, Gusau

Abuja — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to move against ex- military President , General Ibrahim Babangida, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, former National Security Adviser , Lt.General Aliyu Gusau[rtd] and former Finance Minister,Mallam Adamu Ciroma ,for alleged anti-party activities.

THISDAY learnt that the ruling party is irked by reports that the four leaders, who are still PDP members, allegedly worked to broker the renewed alliance talks between Major-General Muhammadu Buhari's Congress for Progressive Change and the Action Congress of Nigeria shortly before the April 16 presidential poll.

Babangida, Atiku and Gusau reportedly facilitated a meeting's between Buhari and ACN national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The alliance, if it had worked, would have allowed the ACN and the CPC to back a single presidential candidate, ostensibly Buhari, who would have confronted President Goodluck Jonathan at the poll. The alliance, however, failed to go through.
