Kidnap of Jimoh Ibrahim mother: Ondo govt, PDP trade accusations

AKURE – ONDO State government and the State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, traded words over the kidnap of 65 year-old mother of businessman turned politician, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim, accusing each other of being responsible for the abduction of Mrs Ibrahim, who was kidnapped last weekend.

The Ondo State government also accused Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim of playing politics with the abduction by calling for a state of emergency in the state, dismissing report of any tension that would necessitate the  call.

At a briefing, the Information Commissioner,  Ranti Akerele, said  investigation into the kidnap should start with the “Politician himself”.
