The Nigerian and Israeli governments yesterday took a major step aimed at strengthening their bilateral relations following the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, signed on security by both countries two years ago.
Besides, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mr. Hafiz Ringim, has declared that the nation cannot be intimidated by the recent threat issued by the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, to bomb Lagos , Abuja and major oil installations in the Niger Delta region.
Mr. Ringim declared, “We cannot be intimidated; we should not be intimidated and we must not be intimidated simply because there was a threat.”
The Minister of Police Affairs, Humphrey Abah, while playing host to the Israeli Minister of Public Security, Yizhak Ahanorovitz, emphasized the need for both countries to strengthen their bilateral relations.
