Sanusi warns of likely North African revolution if...

Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Alhaji Lamido Sanusi, yesterday warned that the ongoing revolution in some North African countries may occur in Nigeria if the country fails to utilise its abundant natural resources properly.

‘’If we do not put our vast resources to use, if we don’t take advantage of these potential, what is happening in North African countries will happen here,” he declared.

Sanusi sounded the alarm at Nsukka shortly after receiving the degree of Doctor of Business Administration of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka during its 40th convocation ceremony.

He regretted that Nigeria has continued to swim in the ocean of underdevelopment despite its huge natural resources.
