THE United States (U.S.) has signed a bi-national agreement with Nigeria to help fast-track the achievement of food security in the country through its support of Nigeria ’s Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Programme (CAADP).
With its commitment to the CAADP programme in the country, the U.S. government had aligned its agricultural programmes with the National Agriculture Investment Plan (NAIP) as contained in the CAADP framework. In the NAIP are five key points aimed at addressing the challenges of food insecurity in the country.
