Nigeria: Ngige Declares for Senate, As ACN Withdraws Former Candidate

Abuja — Former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige yesterday put to rest speculations over his choice as running mate to presidential aspirant of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, just as he emerged the party's senatorial candidate for the April 2, 2011 election.

The ACN had withdrawn its senatorial candidate for Anambra Central District, Chief Uzoma Igbonwa, from the race and replaced him with Dr. Ngige.
