Amnesty Implementation Pushes Oil Production to 2 Million Barrels Per Day

A Federal Government has said that the successful implementation of the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme has jacked up Nigeria's oil production to two million barrels per day up from its previous level of 600 barrels. Government officials revealed that the development has culminated in Nigeria surpassing the quota allocated her by Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Responding to questions from newsmen on the implementation of the Niger- Delta Amnesty Program, Senior Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Hon. Kingsley Kuku, said those still criticising the initiative should have a rethink especially with the benefits the program has created.
