IYC crisis won't threaten peace in N-Delta- Ijaw youths

CHAIRMAN, Forum of Clan Chairmen, Ijaw Youth Council, Mr Dio Reuben, has assured that the crisis rocking the leadership of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, would not lead to tension or chaos in the Niger Delta region.

Speaking at the meeting of Clan Chairmen of IYC in Port Harcourt, Mr Dio said that the purported suspension of the national president of the IYC , Mr Miabiye Kuromiema by a faction of the national executive did not follow due process and as such was null and void. According to him, by the constitution of the body, if there was any need to suspend any national officer, the attention of the clan chairmen forum which serves as the parliament should have been notified.
