Three days to the planned visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Abia State for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign, explosions have rocked a Progressive Peoples’ Alliance (PPA) rally in Aba.

The member representing Aba North and South in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA), Chief Nnanna Uzor Kalu had last Saturday organized what party faithful dubbed sensitization rally at the Recreation Club field in the commercial hub of the state.

But mid way into the rally, as a popular local musician, Obewe was entertaining the crowd, about five explosives, which were hurled from Park, an adjourning road to the venue of the rally, landed on the field and exploded.

Immediately, security agents on hand moved towards the direction the explosives were hurled from, but before they could go through the main gate of the fenced venue, the perpetrators of the evil act were said to have jumped into a waiting vehicle and sped off.
