Apprehensive members of Senators and House of Representative members yesterday stormed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ascertain their fate in the April election as the Commission drew curtain on the substitution of candidates by the Political Parties for the National Assembly elections.
As at yesterday, respite came the way of Speaker Dimeji Bankole as the candidate who emerged from the former President Olusegun Obasanjo camp withdrew and his name was substituted. However, INEC stood its ground in recognizing Mohammed Abacha as the authentic candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Kano State despite protest for his name to be delisted.
