88 Women to Contest in April Poll

Port Harcourt — AT least, 88 women from various political parties across the country would be vying for elective positions in the April general elections, Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Iyom Josephine Anenih has disclosed.

From this number, 35 female candidates are contesting for seats in the state Houses of Assembly; while 31 others are running to represent their various federal constituencies in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
