Over the years, the people of the Niger Delta Region were drawn in a struggle for survival as the region was characterized and with huge environmental and security challenges, without getting a fair share of the proceeds derived frm the sales of the spoils of their land, a development which gave rise to restiveness in the region. Christiana Esebonu critically examines the situation vis-à-vis the global position on the region.
