A United States Federal High Court hearing the environmental and human rights violation case brought by the Ogale community in Rivers State against the Royal Dutch Shell and its Nigeria
The order was made following the agreements by both parties that the issue of the court' s subject matter jurisdiction should be stayed pending the Supreme Court' s decision in Kiobel even though the parties disagreed sharply on whether the court should give the same treatment to the issue of personal jurisdiction.
