Police Kills Notorious Kidnapper, Rescues ACP's Mum

The Rivers State Police command on Wednesday killed one suspected kidnapper, identified as Gabriel, at Ahoada during an exchange of gun-fire with a gang that specialises in kidnapping.in the State.

The command stated that the suspect, who hails from Eberi-Omuma in Omuma local government area of the state, was a notorious kidnapper that has been on the wanted list of the Nigerian Police for past criminal activities.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the State, Mr. Ben Ugwuegbulem, in a text message to LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt, said that the police also rescued a 70 year old woman believed to be a kidnap victim when the stormed the hide-out of the hoodlums located along

Edeoha-Abua Road

in Ahoada.

He stated that the rescued old woman, who he identified as Rebecca, is the mother of a serving Assistant Commissioner of Police (names withheld), attached to the Lagos State Police Command.
