Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has accused the Council of Ijaw Youth for the Unity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (COIYN of linking him with the northern-based Islamist sect, Boko Haram, as financier and sponsor.
Asari-Dokubo, in a statement, described the allegation, published in some newspapers as malicious and said it was meant to generate bad blood between him and the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. He said the intention of those behind the publication was for the government to arrest him and throw him into detention.
