Amnesty - FG Hits N6 Trillion Savings - Kuku

Abuja — Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Hon. Kingsley Kuku yesterday explained that the nation's estimated savings resulting from increased crude oil production is expected to hit a whopping N6 trillion by the end of the year.

Hon. Kuku pointed out that the country's production savings currently stands at N104 million per day, adding that the likelihood of increased production is still there.

The Special Adviser, who is also the Coordinator of the Federal Government's Amnesty Programme stressed that because of the effective and dedicated implementation of the Amnesty Programme action plans, peace, safety and security have been consolidated in the Niger-Delta, leading to a rebound of the nation's economy.
